Among the Trees

People are destructive. It’s better without them, among the trees.

But they might come, with their trucks and saws.

I’ll be ready.

“Magic isn’t real,” I gumbled.
“Just try it,” he smiled.
And magically, my sadness disappeared.

The Ally

The pirate ship shrieked.
Governor’s men could taste their victory.
They were unaware that she, pirates’ secret ally, was waiting for her cue.

I know, those don’t really look like pirate ships, but I recently finished watching Black Sails, the final season. This is my tribute to the best show ever!
Also, pirates are the best. I should write about them more often. XD

Matches burn slowly, as smoke dances around. She burned up quickly, in the outburst of once tamed anger. Her smoke swallowed all it touched.
